Mount Fumbwe - Nyagasambu, Rwanda: "We should, always regard all of our possessions as belonging to God"

COMMON WORK IN THE ORTHODOX COMMUNITY OF MOUNT FUMBWE - NYAGASAMBU - 3rd February 2018

In the Orthodox Vineyard of Africa

The Holy Scriptures tell us, in the Book of Acts, about the Life of the First Church:
"Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. " (Acts 2:44-45)
The earliest days of the Church of Jerusalem were filled with love, unity, and joy in which Christians shared all things in common. Communal life was practiced because it was necessary to care for all of the new converts who were away from their homes. It is still appropriate in times of need, though surely not necessary at all times. We should however, always regard all of our possessions as belonging to God.
On Saturday, 3rd February 2018, from 3:00 P. M., was organized a 2 hours community work in the Orthodox Community of Mount Fumbwe - Nyagasambu, Rwamagana District, East Province of Rwanda. (...)
The activity has been a good example of collaboration and supporting the weak for all inhabitants of the Village, and a contribution to the efforts of the local administration authority to exhort the citizens to find the solutions for their own problems by themselves.
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. " (Matthew 5:16)
Please continue to keep this community in your prayers.
